The short version. ReWire is a beta wellness app that uses personalized music and film to support emotional well-being. We collect what we need to personalize your experience. We don't sell your data. We may use anonymized data for published research. You can delete your account at any time.

1. Who we are

ReWire, Inc. is a Delaware-incorporated company building a wellness app that uses personalized audiovisual experiences to support emotional well-being and motivation. We are pre-revenue and research-led. Our founder Felix Schoeller (felix@rewire.bio) is your primary contact for privacy questions.

2. What we collect

Information you provide:

Name and email when you create an account
Wellness questionnaire responses — mood scores, motivation levels, how you're feeling on a given day
Content preferences and post-session feedback
Any messages you send us

Information collected automatically:

Device type and operating system
Session data — length, content viewed, content skipped
Whether you experienced a chill response during a session, and its intensity
Personalization history — how recommendations evolve over time

Why this matters. We collect mood and behavioral data because personalization depends on it. There is no way to calibrate the right stimulus for you without understanding how you respond. We treat this information with care and do not sell it to anyone.

3. How we use your information

We use your data to deliver and improve your personalized sessions, adapt content recommendations based on your responses over time, send occasional account updates, monitor safety, and conduct the research described below.

4. Research and data use

ReWire is a research-led company. The app improves because real-world data informs the science.

By using the app, you agree that your anonymized or aggregated data may be used in academic research, published in peer-reviewed journals, or presented at scientific conferences. You will never be personally identifiable in any publication. Where formal IRB oversight applies, we obtain it.

What this looks like in practice. A published finding might read: "Users who experienced chills reported higher motivation the following day." Your name, email, and personal details never appear.

If you'd rather your data not be used for research, email felix@rewire.bio and we will exclude you. This will not affect your ability to use the app.

5. Who we share your information with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with trusted infrastructure vendors bound by confidentiality agreements, academic or clinical collaborators who receive only de-identified data, legal authorities when required by valid process, or a future acquirer in the event of a merger or acquisition — you would be notified.

6. How long we keep your data

Personally identifiable data is retained while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward. De-identified research data may be retained indefinitely. To delete your account and personal data, email felix@rewire.bio.

7. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure. If we become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will notify you promptly.

8. Age requirement

ReWire is for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has created an account, contact us and we will remove it.

9. Your rights
